Orion 130 Multicolor Pad Printer

ORION 130 floor-standing, pad-printing machine is designed to withstand the rigors of a demanding production environment. The chassis is constructed of solid steel side plates that run the entire length of the machine. This rigid design promotes exceptional stability in applications that require an inordinate amount of pad compression.
The modular Orion design enables easy changeover between various cup sizes and configurations. Additional features include up to five-color capability and the ability to use different cup sizes simultaneously. The Orion 130 is ideal for manual or semi automatic applications where great flexibility is required.
Main Features & Benefits:
- Solid steel frame construction ensures stability and repeatability in production environment as well as minimizing vibration.
- Linear guide rail pad slide mechanisms for the “Y” and “Z” axis to promote smooth and quiet operation
- Robust shock absorbers mounted to each end of the pad slide to dampen motion and provide high repeatability

- User friendly operator interface to allow easy control of most printing functions (flow controls for pad and cliche speed are located on machine side panel).
- System PLC to allow easy integration of auxiliary devices.
- Optional adjustable work knee to compensate for various heights in tooling with locking handles.
Shown below: Orion fitted with optional reciprocating cupslide for applying extremely long images.

Left: Configuration of three 60mm ink cups installed in Orion 130 pad printer.
Below, left: Orion 130 fitted with optional programmable electronic shuttle (recommended for printing multicolor applications using a single fixture) and optional adjustable work knee.

Detail view of Orion 130 equipped with the patented Orbiter™ pad roll-off device, with part and indexing fixture beneath the padroll; a pad blower is focused on the ink image on the surface of the padroll.
