Type O Pad Printing Inks
INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: Read Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Prior To Use
Pad Printing Ink Type O is a single-component product supplied in paste form. Thinner ( if needed ) should be thoroughly mixed with the ink prior to using. During printing, the ink viscosity may be adjusted with thinner (if needed). A retarder may be added to slow drying rate during printing (normally for high room temperatures or multi-color use). Recommended room temperature: 70-78 degrees F. Recommended room humidity 30-50 %
ADDITIVES: (See Additives Chart for more listings)
Thinners:
THINNER VDS 1015 (5 to 20 % by weight) Fast
THINNER VDS 380 (5 to 20 % by weight) Medium
THINNER VDL 380 (5 To 20 % by weight) Slow
Retarder:
VZ 380 RETARDER (1 To 3 % by weight)
Special:
PP-O Ink Adhesion Promoter (10 % by weight)
RO Anti-Corrosive Ink Additive (2 % by weight)
Special Additives: For increased adhesion to the substrate, use Ink Adhesion Promoter PP-0. This additive will not create a pot life to the ink. For cliché oxidization / rusting problems, use Anti-Corrosive Ink Additive RO.
DRYING & CURING: (See Ink Drying & Curing Times Chart )
Ink TYPE O dries to the touch within 30 seconds at room temperature. Drying time may be reduced with forced hot air at 200 – 400 degrees F. Normally, full cure is achieved after five to six days depending on curing temperature time; and humidity. Heat curing is necessary for better adhesion and performance results.
COLORS: (See Color Availability Chart)
