Troubleshooting Guide
PROBLEM:
Shadow or haze on cliché.
Cause Solution
Ink Ink is too thick. Add thinner.
Doctor Blade Blade is not doctoring properly. 1. Increase blade pressure.
2.Sharpen or replace doctor blade.
3. On open inkwell machines, use fine adjustment screws to correct the problem areas.
4. On closed cup machines, rotate cup 90°.
Blade is not installed properly. Make sure that the blade is locked in the down position.

PSI blade pressure:
min. 10 -- 20
min. 10 -- 25
min. 10 -- 30
min. 10 -- 35
min. 10 -- 40
min. 10 -- 45
min. 10 -- 50
min. 10 -- 60
NOTE: Maximum pressure will result in excessive blade and cliché wear.
