Ink Type 411 is designed for printing on silicone rubber parts. Ink Technical Data Sheet (PDF)

MIXING / POTLIFE
ITW Trans Tech INK-411 is supplied as a kit with a matched quantity of Hardener. The required mix ratio is (10:1) ten parts by weight of ink to one part by weight of Hardener. Because pigments can settle during storage is suggested that the ITW Trans Tech INK-411 be stirred before use. Add the Hardener into each batch of ink to assure complete dispersion. Mixing may be done by hand with a spatula or by machine. Avoid stirring in an excessive amount of air. When machine mixing, avoid prolonged high speeds.

After mixing, the ink will remain useful for approximately 24 to 48 hours at room temperature. Placing the material in a closed container in a cool (below 50°F) environment will extend the mixed pot life. The separate components may be stored in closed containers up to one year at room temperature (72°F). INK-411 can be dried at 204°C (400°F) for 2 - 6 minutes to achieve 90--95% cure. Adhesion improves with increased post curing.

NOTE Ink-411 is supplied as a two-component kit with a matched quantity of Hardener.
(See Additives Chart for more listings)
THINNER Part# 412THIN
Description THINNER 412 FOR INK-411 SERIES ( QUART )

THINNING
If the mixed viscosity is too thick for a specific application, ITW Trans Tech INK-412 Thinner is available to custom design the viscosity for a specific application. ITW Trans Tech INK-412 Thinner is environmentally friendly. It has zero VOC and will not adversely effect the adhesion of the system.

DRYING
(See
Ink Drying & Curing Times Chart )
ITW Trans Tech INK-411 must be dried at 204°C (400°F) for 2 - 6 minutes with standard ink drying oven or similar heat tunnel.
Caution: Contact with some materials will inhibit the drying of the Ink These include: silicone RTV containing organo-tin catalysts, sulfur-containing compounds, amines, some urethanes, and organic acids. A small-scale compatibility test is always recommended.

ITW Trans Tech INK-411 can be removed from surfaces before drying by wiping with high-flash mineral spirits.
