| Custom Designed & Molded To Order: Special Applications of Silicone Products WE are now offering another special service to our industrial customers who have unique needs and applications for our silicone rubber products. When handling or packing various shapes and types of materials, there is often a need to secure an object firmly without damaging the surface. Of course, the uniquely flexible and shock-absorbing characteristics of silicone rubber are ideal for holding without scratching a product. So, in response to requests from our customers we are applying our expertise in the field of silicone pad manufacture to other industrial purposes.   A recent application required this flexible holding fixture for securing cylindrical products during the decorating process. The concave shape enabled several similar product profiles to seat firmly in the fixture without marring the surface finish.  Each silicone rubber piece (above) was mounted to a larger fixture mechanism which was in turn installed on a multiple-fixtured decorating system fitted with a Weiss indexing ring as shown below.  Other Non-Decorating Applications We are now offering these special silicone products and the expertise in designing them as an extension of our product line. The flexible characteristics of silicone rubber are ideal for certain industrial washers, seals and gaskets; any size or shape can be made to customer specifications.   This "L" shaped silicone rubber piece was custom-designed to answer a request from a manufacturer that needed to protect the edges of its products during shipping.
